"During the first 17 years of my life, I lived surrounded by a mini zoo with over 300 exotic animals. Caring and observing their behaviour on a daily basis became a way of life. In my spare time, nature observation, film and and photography, as well as scuba diving filled most of my senses... Today most of my animal sculptures are produced by impulsive recollection of these times."
